Industrial flooring solutions

Heavy-duty floor systems built for manufacturing, fabrication and processing facilities where the floor takes a beating every single day.

Flooring built for the demands of real industrial work

Industrial facilities ask more of their floors than almost any other environment: constant forklift traffic, heavy point loads from machinery, chemical and oil spills, thermal cycling, and the need for a surface that can be cleaned quickly without shutting down operations. A floor that fails in an industrial setting does not just look bad. It creates safety hazards, causes downtime and costs far more to fix than it would have cost to install correctly the first time.

We work with manufacturing plants, fabrication shops, chemical processing facilities and heavy industrial operations across Indianapolis, Indiana, Louisville, Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio. Every project starts with a thorough assessment of the conditions your floor faces: the chemicals present, load requirements, traffic patterns and the surface prep needed. There is no one-size-fits-all answer in industrial flooring, and we do not pretend otherwise.

What drives flooring decisions in industrial facilities

Heavy load tolerance

Floors must withstand constant forklift traffic, heavy equipment and concentrated point loads without cracking or surface failure.

Chemical and oil resistance

Manufacturing and processing environments expose floors to oils, solvents, hydraulic fluids and cleaning chemicals daily.

OSHA safety compliance

Proper slip resistance, aisle markings and hazard zone identification are required to meet OSHA walking-working surface standards.

Thermal cycling tolerance

Hot processes, steam cleaning or outdoor access points need floors that handle temperature swings without delaminating.

Minimal downtime

Industrial operations cannot afford extended shutdowns. Phased installation and fast-cure systems keep production moving.

Long service life

Industrial floors need to perform for 10 to 20 years under heavy use. Proper specification and prep make that possible.

★★★★★
Alex and Hoosier Industrial Coatings did a fantastic job repairing and coating the floors in my plant. He was very easy to work with and accommodated all my requests, including a raised floor feature. On-site, he and his crew were professional, communicative, and transparent about pricing and scheduling.

Can you install flooring while our facility is still running?

Yes. We regularly phase installations around production schedules. We section off areas, install and cure, then move to the next zone so operations continue with minimal disruption.

How do we know which flooring system is right for our facility?

That is determined during our site assessment. We look at the chemicals present, traffic and load requirements, temperature conditions, existing slab condition and any regulatory requirements your facility must meet. We do not recommend a system until we have assessed the actual conditions.

What surface preparation is required for industrial epoxy?

Shot blasting or diamond grinding to a minimum CSP 3 surface profile is standard. Proper surface preparation is the single most important factor in long-term adhesion and performance, and we never shortcut it regardless of project size.

How long does an industrial floor system last?

A properly installed industrial epoxy or urethane system typically delivers 10 to 20 years of service with routine maintenance. Facilities with extreme chemical exposure or abrasion may need topcoat refreshes sooner, which we can address without replacing the entire system.

Can you repair an existing industrial floor instead of replacing it?

In many cases, yes. If the existing coating is well bonded and the concrete beneath it is sound, we can resurface or recoat rather than start from scratch. We assess the floor during our site visit and give you an honest recommendation.
