Floor systems built for real industrial demands
Industrial epoxy flooring is a high-build, multi-layer coating system applied directly to concrete to create a surface that handles the punishing demands of manufacturing, chemical processing and heavy industrial operations. Unlike decorative epoxy, industrial epoxy is specified for performance first, with formulations chosen for the chemical resistance, impact loads, traffic patterns and temperature conditions of each facility.
We install industrial epoxy for some of the most demanding facilities in Indianapolis, across Indiana and into Kentucky and Ohio. Whether you run a chemical processing plant, an automotive manufacturing floor, a heavy fabrication shop or a distribution warehouse, we assess your conditions and install the right system for the job. Every installation starts with proper surface preparation, because no coating system performs better than the prep work underneath it.

What makes industrial epoxy the right call?
High-build thickness
Thicker mil builds handle heavy impacts and surface abuse that thin coating systems cannot withstand.
Chemical resistance
Formulated to resist the specific acids, solvents and chemicals present in your facility.
Heavy load bearing
Withstands constant forklift traffic, heavy equipment and concentrated point loads without cracking.
Seamless and easy to clean
No joints or seams means no places for chemicals, oil or debris to collect on the floor surface.
Slip-resistant options
Broadcast aggregate and anti-slip additives provide reliable traction in wet or oily conditions.
Long service life
Properly installed industrial epoxy systems deliver 10 to 20 years of service with routine maintenance.
Our installation process
Every industrial epoxy floor we install is specified and built around the real conditions of your facility.
Consultation and site assessment
We evaluate chemical exposure, traffic loads and floor conditions to specify the right industrial epoxy system.
Surface preparation
Shot blasting and diamond grinding open the concrete profile and remove all contaminants for maximum adhesion.
Crack and joint repair
All cracks, spalls and damaged areas are repaired and ground flush before the epoxy system is applied.
Primer coat
A penetrating epoxy primer seals the concrete and creates the chemical bond the build coats rely on.
High-build coats
One or more high-build epoxy coats are applied to reach the specified thickness and performance level.
Topcoat and final finish
A chemical-resistant topcoat seals the system, adds the final finish and locks in long-term performance.

Decorative quartz
Superior slip resistance and chemical durability for warehouses, kitchens and industrial spaces.

Decorative flake
Strength, texture and standout style for garages, patios and showrooms.
Industrial epoxy FAQs
Have a question we haven't answered? Call (317) 525-1154 and talk to the crew that does the work.
Alex and Hoosier Industrial Coatings did a fantastic job repairing and coating the floors in my plant. He was very easy to work with and accommodated all my requests, including a raised floor feature. On-site, he and his crew were professional, communicative, and transparent about pricing and scheduling.
How is industrial epoxy different from regular epoxy coating?
Industrial epoxy is a high-build, multi-layer system specified for chemical resistance, impact tolerance and heavy traffic loads. Standard epoxy coatings are thinner and suited for lighter commercial use. Industrial systems are formulated and installed based on the actual conditions of your facility.
Can industrial epoxy be installed while our facility is still operating?
In many cases, yes. We work with facility managers to section off areas and install in phases so operations can continue. Cure times and ventilation requirements vary by product, and we plan the installation schedule around your operational needs.
What surface preparation is required?
Shot blasting or diamond grinding to a concrete surface profile of at least CSP 3 is standard for industrial epoxy. Proper prep is the single most important factor in long-term adhesion and performance. We never skip or shortcut this step.
How do I know which epoxy formulation is right for my facility?
That is determined during our site assessment. We look at the specific chemicals present, traffic patterns, load requirements, temperature conditions and any regulatory requirements your facility must meet. There is no one-size-fits-all answer for industrial flooring.
How long does an industrial epoxy floor last?
With proper surface preparation and routine maintenance, a well-installed industrial epoxy system typically lasts 10 to 20 years. Facilities with extreme chemical exposure or heavy abrasion may need topcoat refreshes sooner, which we can assess during routine inspections.
